What is psychological assessment?
Psychologists use theories and research of psychology to evaluate clients’ condition through clinical interview, behavioral observation, and objective assessment tests to help clients or their families understand their problems and seek appropriate treatment(s). Common areas of psychological assessment include intelligence (IQ), dyslexia, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mental status, brain function and memory, etc.
